On December 9, 2025, the Marion County Council unanimously voted to proclaim January 6, 2026, as Jonathan David Price Day in Marion County.
Jonathan David Price was a Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy who tragically lost his life in the line of duty on January 6, 2021. He left behind his young wife, Elizabeth, and three precious children, all under the age of five. David also left behind five siblings, his loving parents, and grandparents.
As we mark the fifth anniversary of David’s ultimate sacrifice, we ask our community to join us in remembering him and lifting his family up in prayer. In honor of David and the hero he was, we also encourage everyone to wear superhero shirts on this day.
