The Conway Tigers edged Dillon 48-46 in a non-conference boys varsity basketball game played in Dillon on Friday, December 6.
Although Conway controlled the opening tip-off, Dillon scored the first points of the game and led by 6 points, 8-2 before Conway added 2 points. Dillon again led 11-4 before Conway began to cut the lead. By the end of the first quarter, the score was knotted at 11.
Dillon committed 6 fouls, and Conway committed 3 fouls in the first quarter.
In the second quarter of play, Conway kept the lead until Dillon tied the game at 19. Dillon remained close with Conway up by 1, 23-22. From there, Conway added points and led 31-22 at halftime.
Dillon committed 2 fouls while Conway committed only 1 foul in the second quarter of play.
By the end of the third quarter of play, Conway had a 3-point lead, 37-34.
Dillon committed 4 fouls in the third quarter while Conway committed 3 fouls.
Dillon cut Conway’s lead to 2 points in the final quarter but came up short, 48-46.

Zamaurious Robertson led the Wildcats with 12 points. He connected for three 2-point baskets and two 3-point baskets. Michael Williams added 8 points with a 2-point basket and two 3-point baskets. Rahmond Hamilton had three 2-point baskets and a free throw for 7 points. Jaheim McEachin connected for three 2-point baskets for 6 points. Jazier Walker had two 2-point baskets for 4 points. Jamarion Campbell and Ejan Green each had a 3-point basket. Kyheim Lester had a 2-point basket, and Jafari Jones sank a free throw.
Conway’s Trevon Johnson led all scorers with 19 points. He connected for eight 2-point baskets and 3 free throws. Kayleb McKinnon added 10 points with three 2-point baskets and 4 free throws. Avery Brantley connected for four 2-point baskets for 8 points. Tramaine Hunter added 6 points with three 2-point baskets. Javion Crawford added a 2-point basket and 3 free throws for 5 points.
Dillon will travel to Crestwood on Thursday, December 11, for a 7:30 p.m. game.
