Closing Ceremony Held For Mount Calvary Baptist Church AWANAS Program

Mount Calvary Baptist Church held the AWANAS Closing Ceremony on Sunday, June 2, at 6:00 p.m.
Jonathan McKenzie, AWANAS Team Leader, was in the Master of Ceremony. He was assisted by several other leaders of the AWANAS.
McKenzie opened the service with prayer. His topic was “Why is the Children’s Ministry so important? He spoke from Deuteronomy 4:5 and 10. Children are important to God and to all of us. He also referred to Matthew 18:1-5. We have an important mission at Mount Calvary Baptist Church. He also used Psalm 127:3. Children are God’s gift. The love for children should be unconditional. Deuteronomy 6:5 through 0. We should always instruct children towards God. We must lead the children to the Cross. Matthew 19:14. Our main gold should be to bring children to God.
McKenzie stated that there were over 40 children in the AWANAS Program at the church.
Many adult volunteers were needed, and they all arose to the occasion.
McKenzie and other volunteer leaders were needed to make the program a success.
The awards were presented to the children.
At the conclusion of the service, McKenzie closed with prayer.
Pastor Harold Cooke offered some remarks including thanking all of the leaders for a great job with the AWANAS.
Pastor Cooke closed with prayer.
