UPDATE: The trees have been returned. On Monday, December 9, the library posted this on social media:
“Thank you to everyone that helped us look for our trees. We have them back, and will try to see if we can fix them. Thank you to Fred Barnhill, Jr. who located them. I want to also say thank you to Valerie Webster who got us trees to replace the ones that were taken.”
It looks like the Grinch came early to Dillon County. On Saturday, the Dillon County Library posted that their outdoor tree decorations had been stolen from the library grounds. It was just five days ago that they had proudly posted their holiday decor only to post today that the trees were gone. Their post on social media read as follows: “We are heartbroken that someone stole our outdoor Christmas trees. If anyone knows anything about this please let us know.” If you have any information as to who took these trees, please let the library staff know or report it to the City of Dillon Police Department. Shown below are pictures of the trees that were taken.
