Carvers Bay handed Latta a 33-0 loss for Latta’s first loss of the season in varsity football action played in Latta on Friday, October 3.
The Bears held a 20-0 lead at halftime.
Carvers Bay took the opening kickoff of the third quarter. By the end of the third quarter, the Bears were up 27-0.
The final score of the game came in the early moments of the fourth quarter when Carvers Bay rushed for a touchdown. The 2-point conversion failed.
With the win, Carvers Bay is 7-0 for the season and 3-0 in Region play and is in first place. Carvers Bay avenged their loss to Latta from October, 2024.
Carvers Bay’s Kenard Heyward scored 3 touchdowns, and Christian Simmons passed for 1 and ran for another touchdown.
Carvers Bay will travel to Lake View on Friday, October 10, for a 7:30 p.m. match-up against the Wild Gators.
Latta does not have a game scheduled for Friday, October 10.
