The Carvers Bay Bears defeated the Latta Vikings 67-58 in varsity boys basketball playoff action played at Carvers Bay in Hemingway on Tuesday, February 24.
After the first quarter of play, the Bears were up by 8, 16-8. At halftime, Carvers Bay led 33-19. After 3 quarters of play, the Bears led by 8 points, 50-42. Latta added 16 points to the scoreboard in the final quarter, and Carvers Bay added 17 points.
The Latta Vikings had 18 wins and 6 losses this year and was 9-3 in Region 6 A.
