Bethesda Academy Defeats Pee Dee Academy 54-15

The Bethesda Academy Blazers defeated the Pee Dee Academy Golden Eagles 54-15 to claim the 2025 South Carolina High School Football SCISA 2A State Championship at South Carolina State University on Saturday, November 22.
Pee Dee Academy took the opening kickoff and began offense on their own 42-yard line. Pee Dee Academy quickly gained their first down of the game. The Golden Eagles faced a third down on Bethesda Academy’s 43-yard line. Pee Dee Academy fumbled, and Bethesda Academy recovered the fumble on their own 30-yard line.
The Blazers wasted little time in scoring as they completed a 70-yard pass to take a 6-0 lead. The 2-point conversion was good. The Blazers were up 8-0.
After the kickoff, the Golden Eagles faced a fourth down on their own 19-yard line. Pee Dee Academy picked up a first down on their own 34-yard line. Pee Dee Academy fumbled the football, and Bethesda Academy recovered on Pee Dee Academy’s 28-yard line to give themselves great field position. After picking up a first down, the Blazers faced a third down on the Golden Eagles’ 1-yard line. The Blazers successfully rushed for a 1-yard touchdown. The 2-point conversion failed. Bethesda Academy led 14-0 which would be the score after the first quarter of play.
Bethesda Academy rushed for a 26-yard score and a 2-point conversion to go up 22-0.
Pee Dee Academy took the kickoff and began offense and moved the football to the Blazers’s13-yard line after a long run by Chandler James. Tristan Heckman finished the drive with an 8-yard run. Tristan Heckman completed a pass to Judson Martin for the 2-point conversion. Bethesda Academy led 22-8.
Bethesda Academy returned the kickoff to their own 48-yard line. The Blazers scored a 52-yard rushing touchdown to go up 28-8. The 2-point conversion was good. Bethesda Academy led 30-8.
Pee Dee Academy was forced to punt on fourth down. Bethesda Academy had the football on Pee Dee Academy’s 37-yard line after the punt. The Blazers’ Jordan Turner fired a pass to Ka’mond Young for a touchdown. Jordan Turner completed a pass to Ralo Wesley for the 2-point conversion to give the Blazers a 38-8 lead.
The Golden Eagles had the football on their own 37-yard line after the kickoff. Bethesda Academy recovered a fumble on Pee Dee Academy’s 36-yard line. Jordan Cheever complete a pass to Jordan Turner for the 36-yard touchdown. Bethesda Academy rushed for the 2-point conversion 46-8. This would be the score at halftime.
The Blazers received the opening kickoff of the third quarter and began offense on their own 42-yard line. After a 2-yard gain, the Blazers’ Jordan Cheever rushed for a 56-yard touchdown. The 2-point rushing conversion was good by the Blazers. Bethesda Academy led 54-8.
In the fourth quarter, Pee Dee Academy rushed for a 52-yard touchdown. The PAT was good. The Blazers led 54-15 which would be the final score of the game.
