Anna Rogers Named New Head Varsity Softball Coach at Latta High School

Congratulations to Anna Rogers, who has been named the new Head Varsity Softball Coach at Latta High School.
Anna Elizabeth Rogers is a proud native of Latta, South Carolina, and a 2014 graduate of Latta High School. During her time there, she excelled academically and athletically, earning a 4.807 UGPA, an Honors Diploma, an IB Certificate, and recognition as the Third Honors Graduate. She was a standout athlete in softball and volleyball, a member of the Varsity Cheer squad and Marching Vikings band, and actively involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Rogers began playing varsity softball in the seventh grade, amassing 694 career strikeouts and a 2.09 ERA. Her achievements earned her All-State, All-Region, and Defensive MVP honors, and a spot in the North/South SC All-Star Game her senior year.
Fulfilling her dream, Rogers played collegiate softball at North Greenville University, where she was named Freshman Pitcher of the Year and helped lead her team to a Conference Carolinas Championship. She graduated in 2018 with a B.A. in Studio Art and earned Conference Carolinas All-Academic Team honors in 2017 and 2018.
Returning home, Rogers began teaching art at Latta Middle School and completed her M. A. T., within two years. She has also served as Assistant Varsity and Head JV Softball Coach (2019-2024), helping lead the Vikings to multiple state and lower state championship appearances.
Grounded in her faith and inspired by Romans 12, Rogers strives to see her God-given gifts to serve with passion and purpose…in the classroom, on the field, and in her community.
