The American Legion Hut hosted the Christmas Party for the American Legion and the VFW of Dillon on Thursday, December 5, at 7:00 p.m.
Lloyd Brown welcomed everyone and stated, “This is the season to acknowledge our Savior. We should always be thankful.” Brown followed with a prayer.
The American Legion Hut was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season.
Everyone enjoyed a time of fellowship before the meal prepared by Levern Hayes. The Ladies Auxiliary Unit 32 provided the delicious desserts.
There were games and door prizes galore!
If one has served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941 and were honorably discharged or you are still serving active military duty honorably, you are eligible for membership with the American Legion. To join, call Levern Hayes 843-845-2309.
To join the VFW, one must be a citizen of the United States, be an active member or honorably discharged officer or enlisted person in the United States armed forces, have served in a foreign war, insurrection, or expedition, have received a discharge of Honorable or General (Under Honorable Conditions), one can join the VFW.
