The Pee Dee Academy Lady Golden Eagles shut out the Dillon Christian School Lady Warriors 4-0 in varsity softball action played on Thursday, April 16, in Dillon.
Pee Dee Academy scored 2 runs in the top of the first inning, added a run in the top of the third inning, and another run in the top of the fifth inning.
Dillon Christian School’s L. Shooter pitched 7 innings and allowed 5 hits, 4 earned runs including a home run, walked 1, and struck out 14 of the 27 batters she faced.
Dillon Christian School’s M. Willis, F. Britt, and S. Lane each managed a hit. K. Hunt garnered a walk.
The Lady Warriors’ M. Willis and K. Hunt each stole a base in the game.
Pee Dee Academy will travel to Bennettsville on Monday, April 20, for a 6:30 p.m. game against Marlboro Academy. On Tuesday, April 21, the Lady Golden Eagles will host Lee Academy at 5:00 p.m.
