Q. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
A. I’m a woman who wears many hats and values each one deeply. First and foremost, I’m a proud wife and mother. I strive to create a home filled with love, faith, and joy. I’m also a loyal and dependable friend. At the center of my days, I have dedicated more than 20 years to the field of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, which has given me a servant’s heart, and helped me value both serving and compassion.
I was born and raised in Dillon, a small town girl, where the love of community was instilled in me as a young girl growing up. Love your neighbor is truly what it means here. I graduated from Dillon High School, where I enjoyed the Anchor Club, Beta Club, and was published in Who’s Who Among American High School Students. Forever a Wildcat at heart.
My first volunteer work that shaped me and my love for helping others was my summers as a candy striper at Saint Eugene Hospital. I will always remember those days as a young girl.
Q. What is your biggest accomplishment?
A. My biggest accomplishments are my two beautiful daughters.
Q. Who is the most influentail person in your life?
A. The person who was the most influential in my life was my mother. She shaped my work ethic, and how to be strong and resilient. I miss her everyday.
Q. What is the best advice your have ever received?
A. The best advice I ever received was from my Grandpa. He would say “Always keep a little cash in your wallet, and a little wisdom in your back pocket”. They just don’t make men like him anymore.
Q. What do you like to do in your spare time?
A. In my spare time, when I’m not a gym hype woman, or rehab wizard, I enjoy spending time outdoors, with my family and friends, coffee and antique shopping on a random day with a friend, Bible study and coffee with friends, and enjoying quality time with my husband, daughters, and our sweet Goldendoodle Savanna.
Q. What is the key to success?
A. The key to success isn’t one thing. It’s a combination of habits and mindset that compound over time. Clarity, consistency, discipline over motivation, and growth, and if at the end of your life, you have walked in faith, and loved your God with all your heart and placed him at the center of your life, then you have run your race well.
“Be soft in heart, strong in standards, and fearless in purpose”. KH
