Although 4-year Latta High School football starter, Xy’Mari Bethea, had other offers, he signed with Averett University where he will major in Construction Management to continue his education and football career at the next level.
His family influenced him most in the sport of football. Not only is Bethea a talented football player, he also excels at basketball.
Bethea feels he is a good fit at Averett University as it will help him get better for the next level.
At one point while playing football, Bethea had to wear a knee brace. That is something that he will always remember.
While at Latta High School on the Vikings varsity football team, Bethea made the All-Region team for 2 years.
In Bethea’s spare time, if any while not practicing or playing football, he enjoys gaming, basketball, and lifting weights.
Bethea’s mom, Shawnieva Bethea, and his aunt, Shawnee Bethea, are very proud of his accomplishments and successes in his life. They look forward to his continued growth and accomplishments. (Photo by Johnnie Daniels/The Dillon County News, LLC)
