Delta Kappa Gamma Society Installs Officers, Awards Membership Pin, and Celebrates Important Milestones

Dillon County’s Alpha Lambda Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International installed officers, awarded a membership pin, and celebrated several important milestones at its April meeting: the 46th birthday of Alpha Lambda Chapter; the 86th birthday of the South Carolina State Organization; and the 95th birthday of Delta Kappa Gamma International.

Delta Kappa Gamma is an international society for key women educators, with the mission to promote professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.

Locally, Alpha Lambda Chapter offers a scholarship to a deserving female high school graduating senior who plans to pursue a degree in education, and the chapter partners with the Friends of the Dillon County Library in supporting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which provides free books to Dillon County children under the age of five. In the past, the chapter has also assisted the local Love Feeds organization in packing food bags.
