To the Citizens of Latta:
I am Rev. Larry Williams, President/CEO of Crime Block, Inc. Crime Block was established in 1993 to empower our schools and community to become more active involved in reporting crime.
This program has been endorsed by our attorney general, who is now our Governor, the Honorable Henry McMaster, on March 14th, 2008.
I would say to our community: you are the eyes and ears to your communities. Statistics shows only 5% is committing crimes and 95% are not, so 95% can’t allow 5% to dictate how safe and clean our community should be.
We are willing to donate 6 boxes and upgrade the one that are already in place, to any business or churches in the city limits. Crime Block Security will check these boxes periodically and information will be delivered to proper authority ASAP, whether it’s our Sheriff’s Office, SLED, US Marshal, or FBI.
One sheriff of a county said, “Rev. Williams, everything that goes into these boxes are not true,” and I said sheriff, I agree with you, and I told him, sheriff, you have got to agree with me that everything people tells you are not true, but in the midst of garbage you will find some vital information because there are people who want their community safe.
Here is how it works: If you know of a crime that has been committed or a crime that is about to happen, write down your information and deposit it in one of the drop boxes in the community and remain anonymous, or you can email us at: crimeblock@gmail.com
Let’s get it straight, these are not snitch boxes, these are crime boxes. It’s not cool to be a snitch, but it’s cool too turn in a criminal.
