The Latta Vikings returned home on Monday, February 9, with a 62-48 win over the Hemingway Tigers in varsity boys basketball played in Hemingway.
After the first quarter of play, the Vikings held a 5-point lead, 16-11. At halftime, Latta was up 11 points, 31-20. After 3 quarters of play, the Vikings led 47-37.
Tayvon Scott led Hemingway with 18 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Ian Snow added 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. Quinton Hannah had 8 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Jamer Wright had 6 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 steal. Jordan Flegler had 3 points and 4 assists. Khalil Brown had 2 points.
Latta is 15-4 overall and 8-2 in Region 6 A and in second place.

Latta will host Carver’s Bay on Wednesday, February 11 at 8:00 p.m. and will travel to Lake View on Thursday, February 12 for a 7:30 p.m. game.
Hemingway is 5-18 overall and 2-9 in Region 6 A play and in sixth place.
