The Dillon Lady Wildcats returned home on Friday, January 9, with a 60-22 win over the Loris Lady Lions.
Dillon grabbed a 19-6 lead after the first quarter. By halftime, Dillon was up 35-10. Dillon committed 7 fouls in the first half while Loris committed 6 fouls.
In the third quarter, Dillon added 22 points to the scoreboard while holding Loris to 7 points. In the final quarter, scored only 3 points while Loris scored 5 points. The Lady Wildcats committed 9 fouls in the second half, and the Loris Lady Lions committed only 2 fouls.
Dillon’s Khw-Nylahi McKinnon led all scorers with 28 points. She connected for eight 2-point baskets and four 3-point baskets. Treasure Davis added 26 points for Dillon. She sank eleven 2-point baskets, one 3-point basket, and a free throw. Zynijah Pernell made two 2-point baskets for 4 points. Jiana McGill sank a 2-point basket.
Loris’ Isis Jackson led the Lady Lions with 7 points. She had three 2-point baskets and a free throw. Iyonna Waters added 6 points to the scoreboard with a 2-point basket, a 3-point basket, and a free throw. Layna Hemingway had a 2-point basket and 3 free throws for 5 points. Audriana Gillings had a 2-point basket. Di’Andria Green sank 2 free throws.
