On December 24, 2025 Deputies were advised by a neighboring counties to be on the lookout for a male subject approximately 5’7” 250lbs dressed in red coat and pants with white trim, also wearing black boots and black belt.
Deputies then began to receive calls of suspicious activities and noises unlike any other. Deputies did respond to the area calls were coming from and notice some strange tracks in the area, this did prompt a response from the tracking team deputies began tracking in an attempt to locate and solve this issue for the night. While tracking, deputies were just a little to late as they observed the backend of a sleigh with a male matching the description driving led by reindeer taking off.
This did draw some major concern until deputies observed the license plate on the sleigh in which was North Pole tag JOLLY1, upon running this tag information it did come back registered to Santa Claus out of the North Pole. It is at this time that deputies thru thorough investigation was able to determine that this individual was indeed Santa Claus and was no threat, and just attempting to spread joy and cheer to families across Dillon County.
