The Dillon Lady Wildcats defeated the Darlington Lady Falcons 70-64 in varsity basketball action played on Tuesday, December 16, in Darlington.
Darlington led 16-9 after the first quarter of play. At halftime, Dillon trailed 34-17. Dillon outscored Darlington 20-6 in the third quarter. In the final quarter of play, Dillon outscored Darlington 33-14.
Dillon’s Treasure Davis led all scorers with 28 points. She had ten 2-point baskets, two 3-point baskets, and 2 free throws. Khwy-Nylahi McKinnon added 22 points to the scoreboard with six 2-point baskets, two 3-point baskets, and 4 free throws. Zynijah Pernell had 12 points with three 3-point baskets, a 2-point basket, and a free throw. Jaleah Bethea had two 2-point baskets and a free throw for 5 points. Azyriah Ford sank 2 free throws. Jiana McGill added a free throw.
The Falcon’s Autumn Joseph led Darlington with 17 points. She had six 2-point baskets and 5 free throws. Yasmine Douglas placed 9 points onto the scoreboard with two 2-point baskets, a 3-point basket, and 2 free throws. Ranaysha White had two 3-point baskets and a 2-point basket for 8 points. Aaliyah Woodham had a 2-point basket and 6 free throws for 8 points. Zaria Mack had two 2-point baskets and 3 free throws for 7 points.
