The Dillon Lady Wildcats defeated the Lake View Lady Wild Gators in varsity basketball action played in Dillon on Friday, December 5, before a large crowd, especially considering the rainy, cold weather.
The Lady Wildcats controlled the opening tip-off and wasted little time as Dillon’s #4 scored the first 2 points of the game. By the end of the first quarter, Dillon was up 20-6. Dillon committed 3 fouls while Lake View committed 2 fouls.
By halftime, Dillon had a good lead while committing 5 fouls to Lake View’s 2 fouls in the second quarter.
The Dillon Lady Wildcats continued to score in the third quarter to build up a sizeable lead after 3 quarters of play while substituting liberally. Dillon committed 3 fouls, and Lake View committed 5 fouls in the third quarter.
In the final quarter, Dillon added only 3 points and 3 fouls while Lake View added 4 points and committed only 1 foul.
On Friday, December 11, Dillon will travel to Latta for a 6:30 p.m. game. On Saturday, Dillon will host Marion at 5:00 p.m.
On Friday, December 12, Lake View will host Dillon Christian School at 6:00 p.m.
