Recognizing Johnnie Daniels On Boss’s Day

HAPPY BOSS’S DAY!
Today is National Boss’s Day, and I want to recognize Johnnie Daniels.
Johnnie goes above and beyond the call of duty in everything that he does, and he expects nothing less from you. He is dedicated to and loves Dillon County and its people.
He is passionate about everything he does. He loves covering sports and enjoys being able to put local youth in the spotlight and giving them their moment to shine. He also enjoys covering events, church activities, and numerous other things that come his way. He has embraced new technology and social media as a way to get the news out and move with the times. Johnnie works diligently to promote local businesses and showcase them through advertising.
It’s not all about news and ads though. Johnnie has a heart of gold, and when it comes to the community, he is always willing to serve, particularly our local veterans. Later today, Johnnie can be found at the veterans health fair he organizes each year to help Dillon County veterans and their families get essential services and information and enjoy a free meal. He and his group, Help For Veterans, hold monthly food giveaways for needy veterans as well. He also organizes the Farm-City Week banquet to honor local farmers that will be held in November and started a local toy drive that helps numerous people each year. He is an active member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
Johnnie will never ask you to do anything that he wouldn’t do himself. He works WITH you as equal partners in whatever has to be done. He works hard and expects you to do the same. He sets the bar high because he feels the people of Dillon County deserve the best news and advertising that we can give and our best effort to serve this community well not only as news people but also as good citizens who strive to help others. We appreciate your encouragement and support of our endeavors.
I am truly honored to work alongside Johnnie at The Dillon County News, LLC, and I appreciate the opportunity he has given me.
Thanks for all you do, Johnnie. You’re simply the best.–Betsy
