The Lake City Panthers edged the visiting Mullins Auctioneers 30-28 in varsity football action played in Lake City on Friday, October 3.
Mullins’ K. Bethea completed 11 of 19 attempted passes for 181 yards for an average of 16.5 yards. He also carried the football 17 times for 107 yards for an average of 6.3 yards with a long run of 30 yards. Bethea also scored a touchdown and a 2-point conversion. T. Allen carried the football 16 times for 47 yards for an average of 2.9 yards and a long run of 19 yards. Allen scored 2 touchdowns.
The Auctioneers’ K. Bridgett had 6 receptions for 80 yards for an average of 13.3 yards and a long run of 20 pass of 20 yards. A. Lee had 5 receptions for 101 yards with an average of 20.2 yards and a long reception of 43 yards. He also scored a touchdown.
On Auctioneers’ defense: A. Littlejohn had 3 solo tackles, 10 assisted tackles and 4 tackles for a loss. N. Peracki had 4 solo tackles, 7 assisted tackles, and a tackle for a loss. J. Reaves had as assisted tackle. M. Coleman had 9 assisted tackles and a tackle for a loss. B. Hughes had 5 assisted tackles and a tackle for a loss. T. Grant had a solo tackle and 2 assisted tackles. D. Ford had an assisted tackle. D. Worley had 2 solo tackles, A. Campbell had 2 solo tackles. A. Brewton had a solo tackle and an assisted tackle. D. Smith had a solor tackle and an assisted tackle. J. Howard had 5 assisted tackles. C. Greene had a solo tackle and 2 assisted tackles.
Mullins will host Manning in an AA Region bout on Friday, October 10, at 7:30 p.m.
