Pastor James Smith and his wife, Connie, of East Dillon Baptist Church were recently recognized for 25 years of service to the church and the community.
Church members presented them with a photo of the church signed by all of the members, and monetary gifts were given to each of them. A beautiful gift box was presented to Connie for her 25 years of service alongside her husband and for directing the choir.
Rev. Smith is the first pastor in the church’s history to serve for 25 years.
