Dillon High School’s Brenden Miles To Play Baseball At St. Andrews University

Dillon High School’s Brenden Miles will continue his childhood dream and play baseball at the next level for St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, N.C.
Miles has played baseball since the age of four. He has played with the Dillon Wildcats for the past 6 years.
Having been influenced the most by his Father, he continues to love the sport of baseball and is thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to play at the next level.
For years he has concentrated on baseball while devoting his time to that one sport and no other sport.
Miles believes that he will be a good fit for St. Andrews as it is a smaller school that will help him focus on academics but the school also has a great baseball program. He will carry his leadership skills from the high school level to the college level.
He recalls the time he broke his collar bone at baseball practice as the one item he remembers about his baseball career.
As an infielder, he was awarded the Defensive Player of the Year award.
When he is not playing or practicing baseball, he enjoys fishing and hunting.
Brenden’s mother, Jennifer Miles, stated, “I am very proud of the young man Brenden has become. He demonstrates leadership on and off the field as well as in school. I am excited to see his dreams come true and being able to play at the collegiate level. He makes me proud to be his parent and I can’t wait to see what his future entails.”
Brenden’s Father, Brandon Miles, stated, “I am proud of Brenden for what he has achieved on and off the field. I’m glad to see him achieve his lifelong goal of playing ball at the next level. I am ready to see what the next chapter holds for you in life and remember to go hard or go home.”
Dillon Wildcats Baseball Head Coach Keith Coward commented, “I am very happy for Brenden to be able to realize a childhood dream come to fruition. I am very proud to see a young man who has worked extremely hard be able to continue a passion of his. Brenden has been a rock for Dillon Baseball for a long time and will certainly be missed. We’re excited to see what his future holds.”
