The Unity In The Community held the first of 4 services on Sunday, August 3, at 6:00 p.m. at East Dillon Baptist Church with Rev. Lebron Crisp as the guest speaker.
The East Dillon Baptist Church Choir opened the service followed by a congregational song.
Dr. James Orr of Pyerian Baptist Church opened with prayer.
East Dillon Pastor James Smith welcomed everyone to the fifth year of the Unity In The Community. “We’re in this together, four churches for the same purpose of worshipping,” quipped Pastor Smith. Pastor Smith reminded everyone of the upcoming tent crusade to be held in Dillon in October. The tent will hold 3,200 people.
Pastor Smith introduced the speaker, Rev. Lebron Crisp, the founder of the Living Waters Church in Longs. Pastor Crisp has retired. However, he presently doing interim work.
Rev. Crisp spoke from Philippians, Chapter 13. His sermon was titled “Winning Life’s Race”.
An invitation was given followed by the benediction.
East Dillon Baptist Church is located at 702 South Sixteenth Avenue, Dillon.
