Post Commander John Harlow thanked him for his past and continued service in the military and read a letter from Congressman Russell Fry thanking Staff Sergeant Carmichael for his service to America in Djibouti. His military service roots in the Dillon community extend from his Retired Army dad Lieutenant Colonel Charlie Carmichael and his mother Linda. His grandfather is the late Retired Army Command Sergeant Major Charles Lee and Sara Lee of Dillon. When not drilling in Charleston or on active duty with the National Guard, he is a corporal with the Francis Marion University Police Department. WELCOME HOME SOLDIER and thank you for your service.
