Darius Shaquille Leonard held the annual free youth football camp presented by the Maniac Foundation on Saturday, July 12, that began at 8:00 a.m. with registration
at Lake View High School football field.
Boys and girls from the age of 7 to 17 were allowed to participate.
At 9:00 a.m., Darius Leonard led in the warm-up exercises. Following the exercises, the group was split into 4 groups with leaders from the Maniac Foundation leading in the football practices.
The leaders made certain to keep the participants hydrated with breaks every 12 minutes.
The weather was hot but everyone enjoyed the football drills.
At the conclusion of the event, Man 2 Man prepared the food including grilled hamburgers. Those preparing the food were Sterling Lee, Roanell Hough, and Deon Campbell.
