On 07/04/2025 at approximately 0439 hrs., law enforcement was dispatched to McLeod Health Dillon in reference to a gunshot victim.
Upon arrival, it was determined that a victim had been shot and did succumb to his injuries. Victim’s name will be released by the coroner’s office at the appropriate time.
At this time Law Enforcement began a very active investigation and were able to quickly determine the suspect’s information.
On the afternoon of 07/04/2025, the suspect, Devon Lee Hunt,age 21, of Latta, did come into the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, where he was taken into custody and charged with murder. (Other charges to come.)
