The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended Richard Jay Lane on an outstanding warrant for Burglary in the 1st degree and theft of a controlled substance. With assistance from the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office and Bennettsville Police Department, Lane was taken into custody at his residence in Dillon County without incident. Lane has been transported to the Marlboro County Detention Center, where he awaits a hearing before a circuit court judge.
The case is being supervised by Investigator Herring.
