Memorial Day Service (Fairmont)

Memorial Day (observed) Let us never forget those who served and gave their life in service to our country. Fairmont will have an outstanding and memorable program in our Heritage Center on Monday, May 26th at 12:00 noon. Our guest speaker is Rev. Sammy Shropshire, Pastor of Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church here in Fairmont. Here are a few other ways you can honor the memory of our fallen service persons. If you have a flag pole in your yard lower it to half staff until noon on Monday 26th, then back to full staff for the remainder of the day, get some small US flags and go to a cemetery to insert at the footstone of deceased soldiers, call or text family members of fallen service people and pay your respects, or just be creative and think up some other memorial activity but please do something to honor our fallen military on this very special day.
