The South Carolina Highway Department of Dillon, S.C., has been clearing trees and debris along Hwy. 9 east from the Dillon County Technology Center to the Little Pee Dee Bridge.
Some trees were downed during recent storms and prevented drainage and some “dangerous” trees were removed by AMS Tree Service and some other work opening the ditch and grinding trees by other means.
The goal was to clear 5 feet beyond the ditch.
