The Lake View Wild Gators defeated the Carvers Bay Bears 11-1 in a non-conference varsity baseball game played in Hemingway on Tuesday, April 1.
Neither team scored a run until the top of the fifth inning when the Wild Gators crossed home plate 4 times to take a 4-0. Carvers Bay responded with a run in the bottom of the fifth inning. Lake View added 7 runs in the top of the sixth inning to close out the ten-run rule shortened 6-inning game.
The Lake View Wild Gators connected for 8 hits in the game while holding Carvers Bay to 7 hits. Carvers Bay also made 4 errors in the game while Lake View did not commit an error.
Lake View is 8-3 overall and 2-0 in A Region 6 and in second place.
Carvers Bay is 3-8 overall and 3-2 in A Region 6 and in fourth place.
Lake View will host Hannah-Pamplico on Friday, April 4, at 6:00 p.m.
Carvers Bay will host Latta on Friday, April 4, at 6:00 p.m.
