Columbia, S.C. ( March , 2025) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation will hold a Pothole Blitz event as paving season begins. The Pothole Blitz will take place over the next several weeks.
SCDOT encourages drivers that notice a pothole on a state-maintained road to submit a maintenance work request https://www.scdot.org/pothole.html so our crews can add it to the list. As we receive requests, SCDOT maintenance forces will be working to patch and repair potholes.
Following winter weather this year, we have seen an increase in potholes and this initiative is designed to help make those repairs rapidly.
SCDOT asks that if you encounter our crews, please slow down and give them space to work.
