The City of Dillon Police Department received a report that a dog that appeared to be less than one year old was found dead at the intersection of South First Avenue and Dargan Street with a metal rod inserted in its rectum.
The dog appeared to be dead for several days, according to the report. Dillon County Animal Control came and removed the dog.
The policeman sought out security camera footage, but was unable to locate any footage.
