CareSouth Carolina is proud to announce that Jeri Andrews has been named the new Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the organization.
With over a decade of dedicated service to CareSouth Carolina and the communities it serves, Andrews brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and vision to her new role.
Andrews joined CareSouth Carolina shortly before 2010 and began her journey in Hartsville in 2010. In 2015, she transitioned to leading the ROADS (Reach Out And Delivering Services) initiative, which has been instrumental in providing school-based care and telehealth services through a fleet of mobile units.
Since 2021, she has served as the Associate Medical Director, working closely with CareSouth Carolina’s previous CMOs to oversee clinical policies, procedures, and HRSA metrics, while collaborating with the quality and value-based care team.
“When I started, we had less than 300 employees, and now we have well over 600,” Andrews said. “We’ve grown significantly to meet the needs of our community, and I believe that in the future, we should continue to expand to ensure we’re meeting those needs, whatever they may be.”
As CMO, Andrews is committed to advancing CareSouth Carolina’s mission by focusing on healthcare technology and patient accessibility.
“One of the things I really want to work on is expanding our healthcare technology,” Andrews explained. “We’ve made great strides with telehealth and updating EMRs, but I want to continue evolving to offer patients access in ways that best suit their needs. It’s also important to ensure our patients are fully aware of all the different modalities available to them.”
Andrews’ leadership has been pivotal in CareSouth Carolina’s growth and innovation. She has played a key role in the implementation of mobile health services, ensuring that even the most underserved communities have access to quality healthcare. Her vision for the future includes continuing this legacy of growth, accessibility, and innovation to enhance patient care.
