Crestwood Defeats Dillon 56-46 In Overtime

The Crestwood Knights of Sumter, S.C., defeated the Dillon Wildcats 56-46 in overtime in varsity basketball action played in Dillon on Saturday, December 6, at noon.
Dillon outscored Crestwood 8-5 in the first quarter and committed 5 fouls while Dillon also committed 5 fouls. In the second quarter Dillon outscored Crestwood 18-17 and committed 4 fouls while Crestwood committed 5 fouls.
In the third quarter, the Knights connected for 11 points, and the Wildcats connected for 10 points. Dillon committed 5 fouls, and Crestwood committed 3 fouls. In the final quarter of regulation play, Dillon scored 8 points, and Crestwood scored 12 points to force overtime.
Crestwood outscored Dillon 12-2 in overtime as Dillon committed 4 fouls.
Dillon’s Zamaurious Robertson pumped in 18 points. He connected for three 2-point baskets, two 3-point baskets, and 6 free throws. Jazier Walker added 8 points on three 2-point baskets and 2 free throws. Jamarion Fling had two 2-point baskets and 2 free throws for 6 points. Jafari Jones added two 2-point baskets and a free throw for 5 points. Rahmond Hamilton sank 4 free throws. Zephaniah Campbell connected for a 3-point basket. Ejan Green had a 2-point basket.
Crestwood’s S. Davis led all scorers with 21 points. He had five 2-point baskets, a 3-point basket, and 8 free throws. X. Johnson had a 2-point basket, two 3-point baskets, and 4 free throws for 12 points. T. Tindall and J. Jones each had two-2-point baskets and 3 free throws for 7 points each. R. Durant had three 2-point baskets for 6 points. J. Shaw sank 2 free throws.
Dillon will travel to Crestwood on Thursday, December 11, for a 7:30 p.m. game.
