Wendell Boatwright’s Restored 1965 Mustang To Be On Display At The Celebrate Main Car Show

Wendell Boatwright’s 1965 Mustang will be displayed at the City of Dillon Car Show on Saturday, April 27, on West Main Street.
There are show cars…and then there is this car! One has to see it to believe it! It’s gorgeous! Words don’t justify it!
Don’t miss an opportunity to see this vehicle!
Boatwright purchased this vehicle about 4 years ago from Ken Dove who had purchased it from his son who passed away with cancer. The funds from the sale were used to begin a fund for the college education of Ken Dove’s grandchildren.
Boatwright purchased the vehicle to be used daily but the vehicle quickly became a collector’s car.
It has taken 31 months to restore it! The work was done by Devin Russo of Russo Restorations of Laurinburg, N.C.
Boatwright undertook this project as he loved classic and fast cars.
On April 6, the 1965 Mustang was the winner of the Best Exterior at the 12th Annual Pee Dee Roundup at the Florence Convention Center.
On April 13, the 1965 Mustang was the winner of the NMRA NC STANGS Mustang Day 60 Years NMRA Best Vintage Mustang at Rockingham Dragway, Rockingham, N.C.
On April 13 at the NMRA Rockingham Drag Strip on Saturday, the Georgia Classic Rides did an article including pictures of the restored 1965 Ford Mustang with a 740-horsepower Coyote engine. The author’s remarks were “Happy Birthday to the Mustang! I got to see this incredible Fastback at Rockingham on Saturday.”
This vehicle will also be featured in Street Cars 101 Magazine due out the month of April.
Wendell Boatwright and his prized 1965 Mustang has been invited to be 1 of 1,100 to go to Chicago!
…and the honors will continue on this super gorgeous 1965 Mustang!
