Mary Ellen Atkins Page, 96, passed away peacefully the morning of November 27, 2024. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM graveside, Monday, December 2, 2024 at Catfish Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Kannaday Funeral home in Latta is assisting the family.
Mary Ellen was born in Latta, SC November 4, 1928, the daughter of the late Marion Atkins and Elsie Coleman Atkins. She was the widow of John Keith Page III. She was a homemaker and was very active in the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Florence until her later years.
Mary Ellen is survived by her daughters, Becky Page Holt of Florence, SC, Fran Page Carroll of Florence, SC, Jackie Page Christman (Scott) of Sumter, SC, and Anne Page Green (Dan) of Simpsonville, SC; grandchildren, Eric Holt (Thia), Tom Gambill (Anne), Joe Gambill, Taylor Green, Matthew Green, and Jordan Green.
In addition to her parents, Mary Ellen’s predecessors include Mrs. Jan (Horace) Arnette, Mrs. Margaret (Bob) Saffold, and Mrs. Marian (C.M.) Powe.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be sent to Ebenezer Baptist Church, 524 S. Ebenezer Rd. Florence, SC 29501.
