Deepest Sympathy to the Family and Friends of Patricia “Pat” Ann Hayes Wilkinson. Pat was a graduate of Dillon High School – Class of 1955. She was a Majorette with the DHS Marching Band and played Varsity Girls Basketball. Pat was a former Miss Dillon of 1956 and Miss Dillon County of 1956.
Patricia Ann Hayes Wilkinson passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Brightwater Skilled Nursing Home Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at the age of 87 following a short illness.
She was born on January 4, 1937 in Dillon, South Carolina and was the daughter of Harrison Phillip Hayes and Willie Thelma Harrelson Cour.
She is survived by Frank Warren Wilkinson and his wife Gina B Wilkinson of Bluefield, VA. Also three grandchildren, Anne Warren Wilkinson Cooper and her husband Eric Cooper, of Christiansburg, VA, Caroline Pearson Hayes Wilkinson, of Christiansburg VA, and Frank Thomas Wilkinson of Blacksburg, VA. She is also survived by her great grandson Elijah Scott Cooper. She is also survived by Susan Hayes Shuttleworth (Dean) of Dillon, SC, Philip Hayes of Florence, SC, and Michael Hayes (Michelle) of Florence, SC.
Patricia Wilkinson is preceded in death by R. W. “ Buz” Wilkinson (2016), and Richard Ernest Wilkinson. (2022). Her brother Dixon Lee Hayes and her sister Faye Hayes Cromer.
Mrs. Wilkinson was cremated as per her wishes, and she will be interned with her family on November 18, 2024 in a private family ceremony. Reverend Garry Moore will officiate the service for the family at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bluewell, West Virginia.
