Dillon County has put the Dillon County Airport up for sale. According to an ad on South Carolina Business Opportunities (SCB0), Dillon County is selling “42.38+/- acres identified as Tax Parcel 040-00-00-034. The property is located less than 0.25 miles from Interstate 95. it is located at the corner of Radford Blvd.(SC Hwy. 9) & Airport Rd. The property currently has a 3,000 ft. runway located on the property. Preference will be given to buyers that will continue to use the property as an airport.”
The minimum bid is $1,200,000. The ad states that the airport is being sold “as is” and is “contingent upon Dillon County Council Approval.” The ad says that “sale and purchasing closing will take place within 120 days of acceptance.”
The acceptance of bids opened on October 21 and closes tomorrow, November 15th, at 10:00 a.m.
