Kason Herlong signed with North Greenville University to continue to play baseball and receive a college education on Wednesday, November 13, at the Lake View High School Athletic Office in Lake View, S.C., with family, coaches, assistant athletic director, and friends.
After receiving many offers from other universities such as Francis Marion, Florence Darlington, Coker, Lander, Anderson, and Newberry, Herlong chose North Greenville University as he believed it was a great fit for him because it is not only a very Christ-centered university, but also has a great baseball program and some great coaches that will prepare him for his future.
Herlong has played baseball for his entire life as long as he can remember.
He has been influenced the most throughout his baseball career by his Dad. His Dad, Lake View Head Baseball Coach Kip Herlong, has pushed him to be the best that he can possibly be. Herlong stated that he was very grateful for that!
Herlong stated “the most memorable item about his baseball career to this point is winning the S. C. High School Baseball State Championship in 2021 as the starting second baseman while in the eight grade.
Not only is Herlong a great pitcher, he is also a great middle infielder plus he is the quarterback for the Lake View High School Wild Gators.
Herlong will pursue a degree in Accounting while at North Greenville University.

When not playing or practicing football or baseball, Kason Herlong enjoys hunting, fishing, working out, and spending time with family and friends.
