The Latta Lady Vikings advanced with a 3-0 win in Round 1 of SCHSL A volleyball playoffs over the Bethune-Bowman Lady Mohawks of Orangeburg, S.C., in Latta on Wednesday, October 30.
The scores were: set 1, Latta 25-17; set 2, Latta 25-5; and set 3, Latta 25-9.
Latta’s Madison Stevens had 6 aces and 5 kills. Samantha Townsend had 4 aces and 8 digs. Madison Berry had 3 aces and 1 block. Hendley Ann McIntyre had 3 aces and 23 assists.
Aubrey Allen had 11 kills, 1 block, and 3 digs. Chayse Walters had 3 kills and 3 digs.
The Latta Lady Vikings will host Round 2 of SCHSL A Playoffs and compete against the winner of the Hannah-Pamplico vs. Allendale-Fairfax on October 31st.
Round 2 will be held Tuesday, November 5, at the Latta High School Gym. Game time to be determined.
