Ribbon Cutting Held At New State-of-the-Art Scrubby’s Car Wash

The ribbon cutting for the new Scrubby’s car wash in Dillon was held today, Wednesday, October 23rd.
Several turned out to cut the ribbon on the state-of-the art car wash. Mayor Tally McColl thanked Scrubby’s for their investment in the City of Dillon. “This is a great facility. It’s a huge investment. It goes toward improving our city. We’re so proud to have you here,” said Mayor McColl.
Chase Howard said they had been doing business in Dillon for 25 years and Dillon was near and dear to their hearts. He said when considering building these things, they have to consider the market and Dillon is a question mark. He said the decision came down to is the people here. He said Dillon was with them when they were squeaking by. He said Dillon has the same thing that Florence, Murrell’s Inlet, and Hartsville have. He spoke about their fundraising arm and said they were interested in working with schools, churches, and other organizations.
Charles Howard said Dillon is a great community and they were so excited to make this investment in Dillon. He said they were thrilled to be here. He thanked all of the employees at the facility, Anderson Brothers Bank, and all of the people who came out for the event.
Glenn Greene III of Anderson Brothers Bank spoke on behalf of the Dillon County Chamber of Commerce. He said they appreciate them hiring local people and the investment they have made.
Scrubby gave a thumbs up to the crowd.
The Dillon location is their seventh state of the art three-minute car wash. Scrubby’s has locations in Socastee, Murrells Inlet, Georgetown, Hartsville, and Florence, in South Carolina, and Lumberton, N.C. A second location in Lumberton will open in the fall.
The new Scrubby’s Car Wash is located at 1110 Hwy. 301 North, Dillon.
