Pastor Jason Paris had the Devotion. His Devotion was “To Pass Our Faith To Our Children”. He stated that we need to train our children and steer them in the right direction.
After college those whose parents are involved in the faith, 50% of these young adults leave the faith. If parents are not grounded in faith, then those young adults who leave the faith is between 70% and 80%. Our children see how we live in the faith.
If we generally love others as Christ does, our children and others will see it. When we love God, our children will know it. We must talk with our children. We need to read the Bible with our children. Children need to read a Bible that is easy to read and understand.
If you have a question about the Bible, look it up.
We must pray with our children.
We must all get rid of our idols. God is a jealous God. We must follow and obey God. God must be number 1.
Our children need to know how we became to know Christ.
Take an active roll in your children’s faith.
