The Trinity Collegiate Titans downed the Dillon Christian School Warriors 19-0 in varsity football action played in Dillon on Friday, September 20.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Titans tacked on 19 unanswered points in the second quarter.
In the second half of the game, neither team scored in the defensive battle.
The Titans’ Davidson Lynch threw for 243 yards and 3 touchdowns on 8 completed passes of 13 attempted passes. Lynch also carried 8 times for 53 yards. D. Williams had 2 receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown. Cade Amell had 3 receptions for 12 yards to give the Titans a total of 255 passing yards.
The Titans combined for 168 rushing yards. Andre Jackson carried 7 times for 37 yards. Robert Mack carried 12 times for 70 yards, and Cade Amell carried 3 times for 8 yards. G. Copeland had 3 carries for 40 yards.
Owen Bex had 2 receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown. KJ Allen had 3 receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown. Robert Mack had a reception for 3 yards.
Defensively for Trinity, Owen Bex had 5 tackles. Gabriel Bennett had a tackle. Mac Burch had 12 tackles and 4 tackles for a loss. James Herbert had 9 tackles and a tackle for a loss. Dawson Lloyd had 3 tackles. Walker Wilcox had 14 tackles. Logan Galloway had 4 tackles . KJ Allen, D. Williams, and Jy’ell Preston each had a tackle. Roddy Young and Jaylen Clark each had 2 tackles. Caden Hodge had 6 tackles and 2 tackles for a loss. James Herbert had a sack. Gabriel Bennett had a fumble recovery. Owen Bex had a pass deflection.
Davidson Lynch had a punt for 32 yards. He made 1 PAT out of 3 attempts.
Trinity Collegiate is 2-3 for the season, and DCS is 1-2-1 for the season.
Dillon’s defense has allowed only 15.5 points per game this season.
