Habitat For Humanity Accepts Suitable Land Donations

The Marion-Dillon County Habitat for Humanity is always open to suitable land donations to help homeowners obtain safe, affordable housing.
If you live in the City of Dillon and have been considering making a donation, here’s what you need to know.
According to City of Dillon Code Enforcement, lots must be 15,000 sq. ft. (100’x150’) approximately .34 acre.
Habitat prefers for the lots to be within city limits with water and sewer. This cuts down on the overall cost of the home to make it more affordable to the homeowner.
If lots are outside city limits the lot would need to be one acre in order to get a well and septic tank installed and still meet the required setbacks.
As a 501(c)3, Habitat can give a tax deductible receipt for all land donations.
So there you have it. Consider making a land donation for a very worthy cause.
