One Man Charged With Murder, Another Charged With Accessory In Latta Shooting

On Saturday, September 14th, around 8:46 p.m., deputies responded to 229 Sardis Road, Latta Arms Apartments, in the Latta community, in reference to shots being fired. Upon arrival, deputies located a male victim with a gunshot wound in the parking lot. Deputies performed CPR until the arrival of EMS. The victim was transported to McLeod of Dillon where he was later pronounced deceased.
The victim was identified as 21-year-old Jhari German of Latta.
Detectives have charged and arrested the following:

Tydrik James Bethea, age 18, from Dillon, is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Titus Lafon Bethea, age 25, from Dillon, is charged with accessory after the fact.
Both are being held at the Dillon County Detention Center.
