The Dillon Christian School and Lee Academy were knotted at 7 when the varsity football game was postponed due to lightning strikes. Soon, the rain came.
Jackson Outlar kicked off to begin the action in Dillon.
After a couple of penalties in the game, the Lee Academy Cavaliers were forced to punt.
The Dillon Christian School Warriors had good field position but were also forced to punt. Jackson Outlar’s punt place the Cavaliers on their own 2-yard line.
The Lee Academy offense went to work immediately moving the football. #1 carried for 23 yards followed by another 6-yard pickup before a completed pass. The Cavaliers’ #1 rushed for 4 yards and then picked up a first down on the next play. A completed pass to #7 moved the football to Dillon Christian School’s 41-yard line. #1 rushed for 6 yards. On the next play, #32 moved the football to the Warriors’ 21-yard line. From there, #32 carried for 4 yards. The Cavalier’s #4 picked up a first down. With 2:29 remaining in the first quarter, #1 scored a 1-yard touchdown. The PAT was good by #13 to give the visiting Cavaliers a 7-0 lead.
The Cavalier’s #13 kicked off. CJ Bailey returned the kickoff. Jackson Outlar rushed for a big first down. With 1:23 remaining in the first quarter, Jackson Outar rushed for a 22-yard touchdown. The PAT was good by Jackson Outlar to knot the score at 7.
