Senator Kent Williams and Representative Jackie Hayes presented the Town of Lake View with $75,000.00 of Community Interest Money on Wednesday, October 16.
Senator Kent Williams stated “Congrats to Lake View! This is an example of when all of us work together, things happen that benefit all of us! Lake View contacted Jackie and myself for help with the Town Square. We have accomplished this to make Lake View look better. We assist with those needs with good partnership between state and local governments. This is another good product that brings tax dollars back to local communities.”
Representative Jackie Hayes echoed Senator Williams’ comments and added “We work well together. In 26 years that I have served, this is the first time Dillon County has had a Senator in Dillon County. Senator Williams represents all of Dillon County. Lake View is very special to me as my Mom lived in Lake View. She only asked me to keep the schools open in Lake View, and I have done that!’
Town of Lake View Mayor Sterling Lee thanked both Senator Williams and Representative Hayes for their support and accomplishment of this Community Interest Money for Lake View. “It is greatly appreciated and will be used to beautify the Town of Lake View.”
